Hello and welcome to my corner of the internet! 

My name is Vinay Krishnaswamy, and I am currently a senior at Gunn High School in Palo Alto, CA. 

I've also been excited about flying and aviation forever! I am a private pilot in airplanes and helicopters, and am working to obtain my commercial ratings as soon as I turn 18. Ultimately, I want to become a flight instructor when I am capable enough. Hopefully that's also soon! I love to meet and learn from other members of the aviation community. If you are a fellow pilot or interested in becoming one, I would be happy to chat with you about my own experience. In particular, I enjoy introducing kids to flying who have never experienced the thrill before.  

I have given talks at Palo Alto airport about helicopters vs. airplanes - how their capabilities and regulations differ, and how they can safely co-exist. I would be delighted to give this talk again for newer audiences. Please reach out! 

This past summer, I was an intern at Pivotal, a startup based in Palo Alto that develops eVTOL aircraft. That was a tremendously fun and educational experience! I am very interested in how aviation continues to evolve and fit into a fast-changing society. 

Outside of school and work, I love to ski and play basketball, and I am a huge fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Golden State Warriors. I think we are lucky to have Brock Purdy as our QB, along with many superstars on the Niners. Similarly, I grew up watching the splash brothers take us to and win several NBA championships. I also enjoy outdoor trips and hikes with my three siblings. My older brother is a junior in college and my two younger sisters are in 4th grade (as of November 2025).
